Could not find any reference to her referring to people as "ordinary working class" --reproduced her full speech here and it may well do people a lot of good if they read it again --excuse the pun--

Theresa May gave a seminal leader's speech---If she achieves just 50% of her vision it will be a great achievement and raise her to a status of probably the best UK Prime Minister ever.

We have waited 50 years for someone like her to come along --

I suggest you read it again, its there, and more than once. When you read it remember and see what actually gets done in the next 12 months.

Very patronising.

A gimmick sound bite that's means nothing and will achieve nothing.

I agree Tony. But talk about pathetic nit picking if that`s all people people can find wrong in a great speech. :D

Millions of working class people in the UK are just ordinary people. But some on here have delusions of grandeur, live in Spain, didn't vote and thinks Maggie May is referring to them...:D :D

gardner8 wrote:''Ordinary working class person'', .........''Ordinary everyday type of guy''. What's wrong with those phrases?

I've been hearing them and probably used them thousands of times in my life and now they're suddenly offensive? Unbelievable.
A lot of what TM said was right up the Socialists street

Looking after the ordinary person... build more houses, tax the big corporations, restore fairness, fixing unfair free markets, enhance workers rights etc..

But still the Reds are not áppy..

Never áppy some people..
