Security is one of the big reasons the complete split will never happen. Saying something is intelligent is in the eyes of the beholder, different people see it different ways.
whose security?? UK or EU or somebody else?? explain yourself

Both. Good security requires UK and EU working together.
EU depends on us for security -----surely?

It’s over, I’m sorry, you are not going to get the imaginary Brexit you where dreaming of when you put your x on that ambiguous piece of paper .

Ambiguous hahaha what is clearer than leave or remain?
As for security in Europe, do you seriously think that the French and the rest of the nations in the EUSSR would just out of spite end the co-operation against terrorism even with a hard deal or no deal? To suggest that, borders upon the ridiculous. The scope and professionalism of the UK security services is a matter that these nations admire. One only has to think of the recent past IE Charlie Hebdo, Nice, Berlin Xmas market. Admittedly London Bridge and the attacks in the UK are far outweighed by the plots that have been foiled by the UK security services.
Ties with Europe? The UK has always in one way or another been tied to the nations of Europe in fact the fertile fields of Flanders and many other places throughout Europe have been fertilised with UK Commonwealth and American blood.
Being tied freely to Europe is rather different to being manacled to Europe.

So you admit ties will remain. Thank you, no further comment on security required.
What ??? Are you saying that your comment on no Brexit because of close ties was inaccurate---please be more specific with your comments--we are not all mind readers

no one knows what the UK will be getting ,as the UK is still negotiation's,which are ongoing,if suitable terms are not reached,? will the the UK remain,
if unsuitable terms are presented to the UK and Mrs May cant negotiate better terms in the UKs favour Will the UK still leave,
WHO KNOWS? No one YET!..............................AND THEY NEVER DID.
as the terms are still in NEGOTIATIONS.
The Brexit talks are just something to take peoples minds and thoughts away from all the other crap going on in the UK,Failing NHS, SCHOOLS etc, :D

It is not a matter of admitting something as if it were a guilty plea.
The UK security services have always been closely tied with European and other nations regarding security.
You seem to indicate that because the UK will liaise closely with European nations after Brexit that that is some sort of victory mantra to remain in the EUSSR.

I have a question to Mrs Nelson. One that can be answered.
Can you please give the forum reasons why the UK should remain manacled to the EUSSR.
Issues that I would like to see included but not limited to are Immigration, The Customs Union, The Common Agricultural Policy, The Common Fisheries Policy.
No platitudes or generalisations, but straight forward reasons why I and 17.4 million should change our minds.

Just to remind people what the `ambiguous piece of paper`looked like.

Mrs Nelson has never seen it so it`s understandable that he`s totally confused as to what it actually looked like.

As you can see....it`s a simple .. REMAIN .. or .. LEAVE.

Simple for most that is. As you can see, there isn`t much room to confirm that you know exactly why you voted for either, and that you fully understand the implications of your vote even though nobody was certain at the time what they would be.

But Mrs Nelson thinks that Brexteers should all all been in possession of all the facts, all the possible outcomes of all the possible negotiations in the future and voted accordingly....Remain.

Come on Kev !!!

Brexit means fewer immigrants to UK from anywhere

Brexit means -fewer immigrants --means less congestion in our public transport--

Brexit means fewer immigrants--means less demand for housing--rents will go down and house prices will become more affordable--more importantly--wait for it--council houses will go to British needy --( exactly what the socialists want to achieve--WIN WIN !!!!

Brexit means fewer people means less crowded A& E --easier to get admitted and service in the NHS--means healthier Brits !!!!

Brexit means --because of healthier Brits--less cash will be needed by NHS

Brexit means--better trade deals--means food prices in UK will decrease--music to the ears of socialists as no need for food banks

Brexit means--that hard working Brits can all get jobs ---wait for it--wages will go up as less undercutting from Johnny foreigners !!! --I should write Labour's manifesto !!

Brexit means --fewer people to spray graffitti and damage public buildings / streets/ public transport---it will be a pleasure to travel by Tube in London or bus in Liverpool (avoid Slater street to be sure to be sure ) :D

Brexit means fewer thugs on our streets --it will be safe to walk around the the streets of the UK late at night when you are doing a pub crawl--what joy :D

Brexit means failed asylum seekers and economic migrants can't complain to ECJ when the UK government charters Ryanair to take them all to the closest airport near Timbuktu !!! :)

Brexit means less potoholes in UK street as less congestion--no need to modify existing motorways into SMART motorways ( who the hell came up with this dangerous idea?? Must have been an EU mandarin or somebody funded by the EU !!!) for sure I am right

Brexit means bent bananas and cucumbers will not be thrown away--just as an example of less food wasted in UK as opposed to EU !!!

Brexit means more cream-coloured ponies and less crisp apple strudels !!!

Brexit means that British homes will be a lot cleaner than EU homes as the restriction on more powerful vacuum cleaners will be lifted !!! always liked a clean home - and keeps the one who must be obeyed happy -

If all else fails and if your pet like or dislike is not mentioned above (highly unlikely  ) just repeat after me

BREXIT means BREXIT

Burrababa, just a few points about your ridiculous post above.

From what you write, you are obviously expecting the UK economy to shrink once Brexit actually happens. This must be what you are claiming because, currently, the UK needs all the immigrants that are coming to the UK to fill all the job vacancies that exist. This is proven because, despite the numbers coming to the UK's shores, the unemployment figures have been consistently dropping month after month for years. It is about time that the public woke up to the fact that the vast majority of the UK's unemployed are actually unemployable for one reason or another.

As a very large proportion of imported food currently comes from EU states, and there are no tariffs applicable to those trades, how can it be possible that the UK can create better trade deals with those countries to ensure that food prices are lower? The statement from you and other Brexiteers about this is absolute spherical objects.

Oh, and back to immigration. One of the large constituents of the immigration figures is made up of those who come to the UK for educational purposes. It needs to be borne in mind that many of the UK's educational institutions are reliant on foreign students to remain financially viable - yes, that even applies to the Oxbridge universities. So, can we assume you would be happy to see them fail because of the financial shortfall due to a lack of foreign students?

And so on and so forth.

Added to the comments by old boy, how do you work that one out.
Immigrants from outside the EU are subject to control now.
Not a single politician has said that will reduce.

Fist of all Kev, thank you for your usual answer and if those are the reasons to stay in the EUSSR, then I thank God we are leaving. It shows me that without being rude, you do not know anything substantive about the matter.

Immigration So students from all over the world Not just the EUSSR are a major contributor to the wealth and well being of the UK Universities - really!
Does that mean that the "bosses" of those places of learning can and will maintain their gross salaries. If you use the educational systems of the UK as your strongest reason for totally unfettered immigration from the EUSSR, then I am afraid that you are delusional.
I do not know oif you are in the UK or Spain, but if you are in the UK, perhaps you may well like to visit a town called Boston in Lincolnshire. A place where I have family.
Older people afraid to go out at night into the town they have lived in all their lives for fear of gangs of drug snorting EU migrants.
A town where getting an appointment with a GP means waiting sometimes up to two weeks.
A town where the Pilgrim hospital A+E is struggling to cope with pathetic visits from our EUSSR incomers who DEMAND an interpreter to translate the fact that one of their five offspring has a sore throat!
Visit the towns like Boston and put forward your support for uncontrolled immigration and you might find that people of towns like Boston will not be rather too interested to listen to your protestions for uncontrolled unfettered immigration into the UK from the EUSSR, which will if Drunker has his way will mean 6 more poverty ridden shitholes in Europe will send their dross to the good old UK.
Saves them worrying about their own folks eh?

Iain Haig--to answer your question--when the UK gets its own immigration policy it will be reformed to ensure only the best and most needed arrive and low skilled and their dependents will be excluded --already the Home Officer is refusing visas for NHS doctors as they do not earn enough. It is false economy to let people in if at the end of the day the taxpayer has to fund associated costs like housing and NHS etc etc --so yes expect intake to decrease dramatically--this will benefit the low paid in the UK who have been overlooked as Kev knows

oldboy--I won't say too much as Kinchy has adequately covered off some of your concerns. However on the falling food prices after Brexit---just consider this --we are expected to have similar as now tariff free trading with the EU for food----In addition we will have new trade deals with other countries and we could similarly eliminate tariffs for food in these new trade deals whereas the EU countries can't ----

It is only logical then that food prices will fall in the UK --see not difficult :D

It is not very courteous to disparage people's posts as ridiculousl or similar when not one can fault the logic of my post :D :D

Even Kev has steered clear of arguing against my comments as he knows that it is the stuff that could be the central planks of a winning Labour manifesto--I mean nobody is going to fall for that free tuition stuff again---surely :D

I feel it in my waters that Ketron was right when he said that Kev may well turn before the year is out !!

Come on Kev---you will have a soft landing buddy
