I endorse everything that everyone else has said. Good luck and I hope and pray that you and your wife have many years of happiness living near your loved ones. It must be extremely difficult to pull up your roots again and leave one country to live in a totally different one...with a language that you may or may not speak. Thankfully, most of the German people speak perfect English so life should be good for you.
