2 dog beaches announced for Torrevieja

It says Cala del Moro and Punta Margall will be in use from mid-June as beaches where you can take your dog for a dip. http://www.diarioinformacion.com/vega-b ... 18833.html

Now that I agree with totally! As said earlier the pavements are bad enough with dog shite so why risk contamination especially for kids during the summer.
A dog warden on those beaches would more than cover their salaries by fining those on the spot that do not clear up the crap from their dear pooches.

The dog beaches are equipped with bags for removing any dog poo and containers for placing it in. Normally the beaches which are used are not popular with the general public anyway. I am sure there will also be patrols. Perhaps those who smoke and drink and throw their papers and general rubbish on the beaches would also benefit from beach wardens to remind them that the beach is not a dump and they should use it as if it was their best room.

its not the expats you have to be concerned about as they pick the s--t up, its the spanish excuse the pun they don't give a s--t.
