Moving into a house thats been empty for 18 months, when i run the hot water its very cloudy, do i need a new boiler ? have been told boiler is 3 years old.

i was advised to set the boiler as high water temp as possible and let boil up drain it off 2 or 3 times through all the pipes in the property and repeat, so to kill any bacteria in stored water and pipes over that period ,but it might have evaporated,this advice was for an electric boiler,

Glad it work ,!forgot to add, if you can unscrew the filters on the ends of spouts of the taps and clear the debris ,bits of calcium build up that's come off the insides of the pipes, you could do that now and just rinse them clean,or just buy new little plastic filters,
